T.L.O was a high school student and the school officials searched her purse upon looking for cigarettes. The school officials discovered that she had a small amount of marijuana, cigarettes and a list with names of students who owned T.L.O money. She was charged with possession of marijuana. T.L.O was found guilty and she was sentenced probation for one year.
